Many overseas hospitals are succeeding with our support!

Seeing the restored smiles of a child is always enhanced by the renewed smile in the parent too!

Ms. N. Carolina Senior America Pageant

For the past two years, the Gift of Life has been blessed with an exceptional volunteer to drive the Coachmen RV for the 1,000-Mile Run. Toni Pleines is one of the unsung heroes of the run.

When he boarded the airplane to come to America, Ayub wanted to know where the holes were in the bottom of the plane where the bombs come out of. Click for story...

To all who have joined the Walk/Run,

I commend all who have taken time to join the Gift of Life Walk/Run, especially in light of the recent tragedy in New York. I know it must be difficult to concentrate on the matters at hand, knowing of all the hardships that are being experienced by many families in the New York City area.

And yet, the GOL run may be just the vehicle to help our country come together and present a solidarity never seen before. It reinforces our need to understand our neighbors who live in other countries and hopefully breakdown the barriers of ignorance, hatred and envy.

The mission of the Gift of Life is to build bridges of friendship throughout the world. Let's continue to build those bridges while we help children of all nations.

John F. Capri

District Governor 7250, Nassau County, Brooklyn and Queens, New York
