Zhenzhen Yao with Gift of Life Walk Founder Captain Jim Braddock

 

Zhenzhen Yao, a 12 year old girl from Shangdong, China, and her mother arrived in New York on Monday, August 14, 2001 Zhenzhen came to the Gift of Life through a cooperative effort between Rotary Clubs of District 7500 of southern New Jersey, Rotary Clubs of Rotary District 7250 in Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau County and the newly formed Bijing Rotary Club in China.

Zhenzhen was admitted to Deborah Hospital, Toms River, New Jersey, Tuesday August 15, 2001 and received an angioplasty (Baloon Surgery) on Thursday August 17, 2001, and was discharged, Friday August 18, 2001. She and her mother are staying with host family of Rotarians, Jerry & Peggy Jerome in Toms River, New Jersey.
